Useful information

Description

This 15C Gothic brick palace was originally a building where the "grute" levy was raised; this was a mixture of dried flowers and plants used for brewing beer. It now houses a museum of decorative arts. You will find all manner of objects here that are testament to local life between the 15C and 16C. Note the ceremonial hall, with its tapestries, its impressive foyer and its richly decorated beams, as well as the Bust of Charles V (1520), attributed to Konrad Meit.
