Description

This museum pays homage to the sculptor, painter, graphic artist and poet Max Ernst (born in 1891 in Brühl) through over 70 sculptures, almost all of his graphic art, as well as paintings and photograph. This astonishing artist, who launched the Dada movement in Cologne and was an active member of Surrealism in France, explored numerous techniques, as illustrated by: Une Semaine de Bonté (A Week of Kindness), a Surrealist collage novel and the D-Paintings, 36 paintings that he gave to his wife.
