Description
This avenue, one of the capital's most beautiful, is sometimes referred to as the "Champs Elysées of Budapest". Andrássy út is lined in fine examples of Budapest's architecture, mixing mosaics, statues and friezes. The busy shopping section, also home to theatres, the opera house and Liszt and Kodály Museums, becomes a smart residential neighbourhood beyond Kodály körönd. Here the eye is greeted by beautifully sculpted buildings and edifices and handsome houses and mansions.
