Useful information

Description

You may sense the style of Gustave Eiffel, who designed this train station of a new kind in 1874. A masterful blend of glass, steel and brick, it looks right out onto the city, thanks to its huge glass façade. Although the private waiting room of Emperor Franz Joseph and his wife Sissi can no longer be visited, it's well worth having a look at the richly decorated ticket office (at the back and to the right of the station).
