At the corner of Avenida Santa Fe and Calle Maipú, the imposing Palacio Paz is one of the largest and most luxurious private residences in town, a throwback to Buenos Aires's golden age. Built in the early 20C in a French-inspired style, it belonged to José Camilo Paz, politician and journalist, founder of the newspaper La Prensa.
