Useful information

Description

In an imposing Classical-style building, this museum presents the important donation made by Seymour Knox in 1962. It is also known for having been the first in the country to acquire work by Picasso and Matisse. The collection covers a broad section of art history from the 18C to the present day, with a penchant for the 20C. The remarkable exhibitions change regularly. A rose garden and a sculpture garden round off the visit.
