Description

The first building completed by Wren and the first Classical edifice in Cambridge (1663-1666), the chapel of Pembroke College was commissioned by Matthew Wren, Bishop of Ely, who wanted to make it a gift for his nephew. The ceiling is by Henry Doogood who worked on the ceilings of no fewer than thirty of the churches built by Wren.
