Description

The hospice was founded in the 13C as a shelter for the poor. The museum is devoted to the history of Canterbury and its surrounding area. The ground floor has Roman, Anglo-Saxon and Viking remains, and the first floor is devoted to the romanesque period, including an interesting model of the rebuilding of the cathedral after the 1174 fire.
