Description

Little remains of the fortress built in the Middle Ages by the Aldobrandrini, a prominent Florentine family, also sometimes called the Aldobrandeschi by Italians. From the esplanade above the outer wall (access via the steps), you can view the castle's few ruins and enjoy a panoramic over the Orcia Valley and Monte Amiata.
