Description

This museum exhibits the collections bequeathed to the town by Baron Enrico di Mandralisca, a passionate 19C collector. It boasts a large collection of coins and paintings, one of the highlights of which is the magnificent Portrait of an Unknown Man by Antonello da Messina. Archaeological artefacts also feature among the exhibits here, including a krater (mixing bowl for wine, 4C BC) depicting a tuna seller, and a large collection of majolica displayed on rotation (more than 20,000 pieces)
