Description

This fine collection is housed in a two-part facility—the restored 1904 Hunter mansion and an attached 1975 modern wing. Arrayed above hand-carved fireplace mantels in the mansion are major Hudson River school paintings and examples of American Impressionists (Childe Hassam). The modern wing offers contemporary sculptures and works by members of the Ashcan school (Robert Henri, George Luks, William Glackens).
