Description

This well-interpreted museum walks visitors chronologically through Cherokee history from the Paleo-Indian period to the present. The journey begins with a 5min film introducing the Cherokee version of the creation myth. Afterward, visitors are free to walk through the exhibits, which include a fine collection of Indian artifacts enhanced by lively dioramas and poignant recorded narratives. Don't miss the Cherokee-language Bible, translated in the mid-19C by Cherokee intellect Sequoyah.
