Description

Maerim Elephant Sanctuary is a nature reserve located about 30km north of Chiang Mai, where elephants are afforded protection. Here, visitors are not allowed to ride on their backs because the animals' welfare is at the fore. Instead, the guides will invite you to observe the elephants at close range to learn about their daily routine. You will be able to feed them, play with them and, if you wish, dive into the pond with them for an unforgettable mud bath!
