This Art Deco skyscraper dating from 1929 (Burnham Bros.), inspired by Raymond Hood's American Radiator Building in New York, is better known as the Hard Rock Hotel. With dark green terracotta cladding accented with gold leaf, most notably on the central, stepped-back tower. A two-storey lobby features curvilinear and geometrical ornamentation with incised carving characteristic of the Art Deco style.
