Description

Navy Pier has enjoyed many incarnations since it was first built in 1916 as a passenger and freight terminal. Today it is home to the McCormick Place Convention Center, a 20ha (overly) commercial complex redeveloped in 2016 and featuring boutiques, restaurants, green spaces and leisure attractions. Crystal Gardens and its indoor tropical garden is also worth seeing, as is the Chicago Shakespeare Theater, and, something completely different, the big wheel!
