Description

In Hutchinson Street District, several designs by Prairie School architect George Washington Maher, together with a range of eclectic, family homes provide a welcome change from the high-rise lakefront. Be sure to see the Claude Seymour House (no 817), which is a typical example of Maher's style, and the Edwin J. Mosser House (no 750). The John C. Scales House resembles a Queen Anne home with its shingles and round turrets (no 840).
