Located on a picturesque site at the mouth of the Chicoutimi river, this former pulp and paper mill was founded in 1896. At the height of its activity in 1920 it employed 2,000 people in its four mills and mechanical workshop. A museum highlights the major role this industrial complex played in the development of the town and region. The ruins of two mills are visible downstream along the river.
