Little paths allow visitors to discover one of the 18C's finest landscaped gardens. Created by painter, botanist and architect Charles Hamilton on his return from the European Grand Tour, the park has splendid parterres arranged around a lake. Romantic follies dotted around this naturalistic landscape include the ruins of an abbey, a Gothic temple and tower (views of Windsor Castle from the top), a glazed grotto and a hermitage.
