Useful information

Description

Some 52m/170ft high, the impressive keep which dominates Crest and the Valence plain, is the tallest of France! Partially destroyed after the Wars of Religion by order of Louis XIII, it is made up of three towers, each of which dates from a different period (11-15C), joined together by a solid wall of ramparts or "mantle". It successfully kept out many a potential assailant and kept in many a sad prisoner. From the upper terrace, you will be able to enjoy a fine view of the Drôme countryside and mountains.
