Description

In a Classical Revival building, Meadows Museum is a smaller version of Madrid's Prado. It houses one of the finest collections of Spanish art outside of Spain, spanning a millennium of artistic movements: medieval, Renaissance (El Greco), Baroque (Velázquez), Andalusian (Murillo) and 18C (Goya), up to Modernist masterpieces (Miró, Picasso). A few rooms of contemporary sculpture round off this fine museum (Rodin, Maillol, Giacometti et al).
