Useful information

Description

This palace, reflected in the waters of an artificial lake, is a real surprise. Begun under Badan Singh (the ruler of Bharatpur) in 1730, Deeg Palace is flanked by two elegant pavilions and was used as a summer residence by the maharajas up until the 1970s. Enjoy a stroll through the charming Mughal garden, which is cooled on Saturdays in August by hundreds of fountains. Other pavilions, such as the Suraj Bhawan can also be seen here.
