Description

Derby Museum and Art Gallery is home to two superb collections. The China Gallery contains the largest collection of Derby porcelain, with nearly 3 000 pieces, illustrating the various periods of manufacture. The Wright Gallery displays some of the best paintings and drawings by Joseph Wright of Derby (1734-1797), his first studies with artificial lighting up to his romantic masterpieces with natural lighting.
