Description

Explorer and author, Alexandra David-Néel, was the first European to enter the town of Lhassa in 1924. Her book My Journey to Lhassa chronicles her voyage. In 1927, she bought this house, naming it "Samten-Dzong" (fortress of meditation) and filled it with everything she had brought back from her travels in Asia. It is now a museum and a rose garden.
