Description

Newgrange, the most impressive passage tomb in western Europe, was built some 5,000 years ago by men who had neither wheel nor iron. The structure is comprised of a passage tomb, covered by a cairn of stones some 100m/330ft in diameter enclosed within a circle of kerbstones and decorative slabs.
