Pleasure boats dock in this basin, which is surrounded by shaded quays. The North bank provides an excellent view of the basin, dominated by the Grote of O.-L.-Vrouwekerk church with its tall windows and massive tower. There is also a good view of Kuipershaven quay, lined with warehouses.
