Useful information

Description

This 17C fortified manor, which belonged to Robert Parke, was built on the site of a stronghold owned by a "rebel", Sir Brian O'Rourke, executed in London. Its thick walls extend down to the lake's edge, opposite Innisfree. It is a fine example of Plantation architecture. A fascinating 45-min video presents the region.
