Useful information

Description

The National Museum of Decorative Arts & History is located in Collins Barracks (1700), the largest barracks of the British Isles, which could house up to 3,000 men and 1,000 horses. The Decorative Arts section in the west wing showcases the best of Irish crafts in terms of cabinetmaking, crystal work, ceramics and gold and silverware. The History section charts the country's painful past, with a major and highly educational focus on the 1916 uprising and the Civil War.
