Useful information

Description

Not much remains of the original 12C church built close to the spring where the patron saint of Ireland is said to have baptised his first followers. Jonathan Swift (1667-1745), the most famous Dean of St Patrick's, lies close to the entrance beside his friend "Stella". The huge Boyle monument (1632), funded by County Cork, has 16 polychrome figures depicting the members of the Boyle family.
