Useful information

Description

Charleston Farmhouse is a traditional 16C farmhouse which was occupied by three members of the famous Bloomsbury Group until their deaths: the post-Impressionist artists Vanessa Bell (1881-1961) and Duncan Grant (1885-1978), and the art critic Clive Bell (1881-1964). The house is decorated in their distinctive aesthetic and pictorial style: from textiles and ceramics to hand-painted walls, furniture and fireplaces. Numerous paintings adorn the walls.
