The fabulous collections make this one of Scotland's most prominent museums. Located in a handsome Victorian edifice (1861) and a modern structure inaugurated in 1998, an eclectic range of artefacts is featured, from fossils, furniture and decorative arts, to stuffed animals and artwork. Redesigned in 2016 (and still undergoing change), the museum takes visitors on a wonderful journey through the history of art, design, fashion and science in Scotland and the world.
