Useful information

Description

This Presbyterian cathedral dates for the most part from the 15th C. but suffered at the hands of untoward restorers who altered the Cathedral to its detriment in the 19th C. The only original section of the external part of the church is the crown-shaped dome light, dating from 1495. Inside, the flamboyant gothic style Thistle chapel (1911) and the statue of John Knox are extremely interesting.
