Parque Nacional de la Caldera de Taburiente
Michelin Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
The Cumbrecita Pass (1 833m) and especially the Lomo de las Chozas 1km away afford incredible panoramic views over the Caldera de Taburiente, a designated national park. The area is dotted with thickly covered Canary Island pines and up above loom towering pink mountain peaks (Roque de los Muchachos, 2 426m, directly opposite). In the centre of the park there is a sharp-looking peak from which there rises a pointed little rock, the Roque de Idafe, which was worshipped by the Guanches. The must-see site of La Palma.
