At the foot of steep mountains and Titlis Glacier, which marks the history of mountaineering and tourism in Engelberg, is Trübsee (1 764m), one of the loveliest mountain lakes in Europe. A stroll around the lake makes for a magnificent walk punctuated by many rhododendrons and spruces.
