Description

This Franciscan monastery, which housed up to 350 monks and over 600 students, dates from the 13C and is remarkable for its superb window and intriguing sculpture, such as Christ with the Instruments of the Passion (junction of the nave and the south transept), Madonna with Child, Saint Francis (between the nave and the chancel) and the McMahons' tomb (15C) which depicts scenes of the Passion.
