Useful information

Description

Since the end of 2020, the museum is established in Perrier Castle. An elegant blend of Neo-Renaissance and Neo-Louis XIII styles, this private mansion dating from 1852 showcases interiors created by the same craftsmen responsible for the Paris Opera House. The visit broaches four themes related to Champagne: the geology of the chalky subsoil responsible for the terroir; archaeology from prehistory to the Middle Ages; the history and making of Champagne wine; collections curated by local art collectors and explorers.
