Description
The alerce, an endemic species also known as the Patagonian cypress, flourishes in the protected space of the Los Alerces National Park, alongside other species such as the very widespread nothofagus, but also austrocedus or cordilleran cypress, as well as raydal and maytenus. To see some alerce trees that are over two thousand years old, follow the lakeside excursion that leads to Alerzal. View over Torrecilla's hanging glacier.
