Description

Roman then Arabic, this castle, modified in the 14C, has remained a military building in the Gothic style, despite 16C alterations. The outline of the medieval keep is marked with rope. The Bragança house had the motto "Depois de vós, nós" (After you, us). From the top, you have a panoramic view over the countryside and the site of Estremoz to the north-east.
