The Michelin Guide's review
Ile aux Cocos, the largest and most interesting island in the Rodrigues lagoon, contains a wildlife reserve for endangered seabirds (visits can be organised through an agency or hotel). Walking through the coconut plantation you can see the last specimens of such rare species as the Mascarene paradise-flycatcher, the lesser noddy, the frigate bird, the booby, the sooty tern, the wedge-tailed shearwater and the brown noddy. The ocean floor is stunningly beautiful.
