Description
This state park features one of the largest stone formations in the West, a 640-acre granite outcropping. The ascent takes about an hour, and hikers are rewarded with a magnificent view of the Hill Country. In warm weather (Apr-Oct), it's wise to begin the hike early in the morning, as a visitor limit may close the park to crowds until 5pm on weekend days.
