Description
In the 19C, this 18C residence belonged to the physician Frederico de Freitas and is now divided into two parts. The casa da Calçada houses the richly decorated apartments of a wealthy 19C bourgeois: English furniture, elaborate wardrobes and cabinets, etc. There is a fine collection of religious art. The Casa dos Azulejos boasts a fine collection of 12C-19C azulejos of different origins.
