Useful information

Description

Before hitting the roads of Death Valley, a visit to the Borax Museum is a must. It is dedicated to the men and mules that worked in the valley between 1883 and 1888, the golden age of borax mining; at that time this white crystalline salt was a popular family remedy and today is used in industry. Locomotives, wagons and mining tools are displayed outside.
