Useful information

Description

This enormous palace was built in the 18C by one of the large noble families in the area, the Bongiornos. Spread over several floors, the palace harbours elegant trompe-l'oeil paintings by Gaspare Fumagalli, a Roman painter who worked in Palermo in the middle of the 18C. They depict both sacred and secular allegories and in settings embellished with medals cartouches and medallions a background of landscapes.
