Description
The former school was built between 1903 and 1906, commissioned to Charles Rennie Mackintosh by Glasgow city council. The building has many interesting features, including the tiled entrance hall, the twin glass towers housing the stairs, beautiful masonry detailing on the south façade, a training room and classrooms. It is now a museum dedicated to recounting the history of schools in Scotland from 1872 to the late 20C with reconstructions of three classrooms.
