Description

A visit to the Habitation Beauséjour will introduce you to a well-preserved 17C property, featuring all the characteristic details of Martinique homes, from the colonial mansion to the row of shacks rue Cases-Nègres. The estate still has its remarkable hydraulic wheel and a canal that irrigated the land and supplied the house with drinking water. The site is on the Route des Habitations, which starts at Macouba and takes you past old plantations set in stunning landscapes.
