The Michelin Guide's review
The Pinnacles, thousands of limestone formations, lend this desert-like part of Nambung National Park a surrealist look. An ancient sacred Aboriginal site, Pinnacles Desert and its colourful cliffs were sculpted by erosion over thousands of years resulting from an agglomeration of sand with clay (acting like cement) and the presence of hematite (which colours the sand in at least fifty shades of saffron, orange and brown). Awesome!
