Useful information

Description

Abandoned in 1835, the monastery was reoccupied by the Franciscans in 1908 and restored. The heart of the building dates from the Gothic period (late 14C-early 15C), although numerous sections were added from the 16C-18C. The monastery has preserved some priceless artistic treasures exhibited in the Embroidery (copes and altar adornments), Antiphon (over 80) and Paintings and sculpture Museums (Michelangelo, Greco, Zurbarán, Goya...).
