Description
This convent was founded in the 10C by Countess Mumadona. Several buildings have been erected successively on this site. All that remains today is the Gothic collegiate church, which still has its 13C Romanesque cloister with interesting capitals and a Romanesque-era chapter house with a fine 18C coffered ceiling. This building accommodates the Alberto Sampaio museum.
