Description

The island of Katajanokka, once occupied by naval barracks and warehouses, lies east of Helsinki, separated from the mainland by a narrow strait. You will see buildings decorated with Art Nouveau details, the Orthodox church to the west and, to the north, the façade of the naval headquarters, which were built by Engel and today house the foreign ministry. Don't miss the view over the moorings of the impressive icebreaker fleet.
