Description

Its name, "Spanish Fortress", is a throwback to the brief incursion of the Spanish Habsburgs in 1538. To get a close look at this imposing quadrangular building with its circular towers, you have to leave the old town in a northerly direction. Your reward for climbing to the top: a breathtaking view of the Adriatic and the surrounding mountains.
