Description

The building, designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano, houses the treasures of Jean and Dominique Menil's art collections. The holdings span the diversity of artistic movements through the ages and from all over the world. It is above all renowned for its Surrealist works, with one of the finest collections works by René Magritte and Max Ernst, Abstract, Abstract-Expressionism (Pollock, Kline and Johns) and Pop Art (Warhol, Tinguely et al), without forgetting African and Oceanic art.
